If you have Costco Business Membership? Its worth pick

While i was doing Fba wholesale on Amazon back in march 2022 i accidentally tried for Walmart seller central which initially got rejected. After 2 months i tried again and in August i got an email of approval. As i was not sure about policies so i went over to dig in whats permissible and whats restricted. Finally we realized we can do drop ship without being under microscope like Amazon.

If i can do drop ship on Walmart i wonder whats the best sourcing place i can have ? I was using Costco for personal shopping and was a happy camp as well because of their great return and customer service. they also offer Gold membership at $120 a year so i opted that.

I made sure the resale is permissible on that so that i could list products at wholesale rates from Costco and could sell on Walmart on some margins.

I got my business gold membership from Costco the card looks fascinating too black and gold. Well i stuck in an issue in the start. I came across order cancellation as soon as i place order i get email of cancellation without mentioning the particular reason and thats extremely frustrating.

Well i rang the customer service of Costco multiple times (approx 8) and the reason the came up with were following which made me believe they know nothing:

1. Your name on billing card and membership does not match , i went to Costco warehouse and made it look like same.

2. Costco rep said ST4 form has invalid year of validation i went in warehouse and rectified it.

3. Costco rep in the next call said there is a glitch in the system and operations team just rectified and want to place a test order which went through but cancellation continued.

4. Costco rep suggested me to get the other deliver at your place and ship it. As i cant use 5 different addresses or more in a month. Next level bullshit.

5. After couple of in person warehouse visits and 7 customer care call tolerating all shit reason on all calls one of the rep finally came up with some thing extremely helpful though i was not expecting.

What was the reason of cancellation? Costco Gold membership business resale license does not permit 2 day delivery. What that means you see products with bold caption 2 day delivery those products are not eligible for resale. All other products with normal or standard delivery are eligible for resale.

It took me couple of visits and approx 6 – 8 hours on call with folks ( having no knowledge) of what they are dealing with to get this issue resolved. It was unbelievable for me to imagine that no one in Costco knows the reason.

Onwards i picked up all standard delivery products and listed them over other marketplace for drop shipping and now i am getting zero cancellation.

Moving forward i start getting orders on Walmart, it made me add a line of credit to meet the sales revenue as $7k was not enough. So i added a new line of credit and my Nov 2022 closed at $10k and still i am accelerating and pushing things higher. When i look back and think about the time i resolved cancellation when no body was there who knows what is the real issue?
